Job Description
Project Manager / Program Manager / Gaming
A new and exciting opportunity has been made available for a East Midlands based Games Development client for a Program Manager with competitive rates.
The organisation has recently expanded its team and requires a Program Manager to manage multiple projects including all aspects of the life cycle.
Your duties as Program Manager will be as follows:
Work with the core tech teams and stakeholders to define scope, goals and deliverables for multiple projects
Track and manage these project deliverables
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
Plan and track risks for the projects, pro-actively developing strategies for addressing these risks
Manage scoping, scheduling, tracking and reporting of production
Execute assembly of overall project budget projection
Track actual spend against predictions for the project
Balance engineering resources across multiple teams, with differing skill sets
Prioritize incoming work based on the business needs and the resources available
Track software support costs and balance the needs of support for existing tools, with the requirements to develop new tools
In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following;
Education to a degree level or equivalent - ideally relevant to software engineering
A background as a Software Engineer - ideally within gaming
Previous experience of program/project management
Experience of working in a core technology team would be lovely but not essential, again because it is so niche.
Strong understanding of project management software tools for tracking, scheduling and reporting
Strong, current knowledge of production methodologies and principles
Proven record of working with external partners, developing relationships
Also preferable:
Experience with working on multiple concurrent projects
Previous management of a full game development lifecycle on a high-end platform
Experience of balancing the resource needs of multiple projects
A thorough understanding of the tools and pipelines required to deliver triple A quality titles
If you are looking for an innovative, exciting project then please send your CV ASAP
