Job Description
Our Aerospace client is recruiting for a Senior / Lead Stress Engineer to report to the Chief Stress Engineer.
Technical Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the static requirements of the product as specified by the customer and relevant airworthiness bodies are complied with.
Undertakes to monitor the stress functions.
Ensures the requirements are met with minimum weight & costs.
Check all issued documentation to ensure compliance with company policies.
Check structural drawings, stress reports, engineering and inspection queries and concessions.
Project Management Responsibilities
Ensure all stress procedures used in the department are implemented.
Responsible for work allocated to the Static Engineers and ensures they fully understand all the requirements of the projects.
Recommends training for Stress Engineers.
Effectively manages stress tasks to programme, providing rregular reports tot he program manager covering spend, achievement, forecast out turn issues.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience
HNC/HND Degree in Engineering related
Minimum 5 years senior Lead related work experience.
Knowledge of aircraft stress analysis.
Knowledge of aerodynamics and loading.
Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering workshop practices.
Knowledge of aerospace materials and standard hardware.
Familiar with EASA Part 21
Knowledge of project management tools and basic commercial understanding.
