Job Description

Our Aerospace client is seeking a Senior / Lead F & DT Engineer who will report to the chief F&DT Engineer and can be based towards either Technical or Project Management responsibilities.

Technical Responsibilities

Ensure all fatigue and damage tolerance requirements are complied with, the customer and the appropriate airworthiness authority.

Take responsibility for all the F & DT functions and ensure that the engineering output conforms to customer specification.

Ensure that all issued documentation relating to F & DT is checked to ensure compliance with companies policies, customer design acquirements and good engineering practice.

Check structural integrity reports and engineering / inspect queries.

Project Management Responsibilities

Recommends suitable training for engineering team and ensures the skills within the group and appropriate and applied effectively to the task programme.

Ensures that F & DT work adheres to agreed and authorised quality procedures and processes.

Provide regular reports to Program Manager covering spend, achievements, forecast out turn, issues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience

HNC/HND Degree in Engineering related

Minimum 5 years senior Lead related work experience.

Knowledge of aircraft stress analysis.

Knowledge of aerodynamics and loading.

Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering workshop practices.

Knowledge of aerospace materials and standard hardware.

Familiar with EASA Part 21

Knowledge of project management tools and basic commercial understanding.
