Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an up-and-coming Web Developer at an I.T solutions company based in North Derbyshire.

Reporting to the Managing Director and Director of Sales, you will assume responsibility of the company's website built within Drupal 7, and take responsibility forthe maintenance of a number of custom-written Drupal modules. You will be responsible for implementing the company's new brand and templates, as well as maintaining the considerable online-product database. As our website is a lead-generation tool, you will receive many opportunities to excel and the experience of working within a dynamic and modern IT firm, whose internet presence is business critical.

Person specification:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing for Drupal 7, and will be able to write and maintain custom modules using the Schema, Block and Core APIs. Experience of Javascript/JSON/AJAX/JQuery would be beneficial, but is not compulsory.

You will be self-motivated, forward thinking and analytical. An ability to spot patterns, along with akeen eye for detail will be your greatest tools in this job. You will have strong self-organisation skills, and will be able to follow a specification, suggesting improvements, refinements and corrections where needed.

Experience:

You will be able to provide examples of Drupal sites and modules you have developed/maintained, and will have a strong portfolio of website work in Drupal and any other web technologies. Whilst previous commercial experience is not necessary, it would be extremely beneficial. This role does not require a computer-science or related degree, but it would be extremely beneficial.
