Job Title: MRP Co-ordinator
Location: Peterborough
Salary: GBP35,000-GBP38,000
MRP Co-ordinator
Job Purpose
The purpose of the MRP co-ordinator role is to drive the MRP process across the whole of our sites. The MRP co-ordinator will ensure that effort put into MRP rollout at all sites is co-ordinated and that effort is efficiently applied in the right areas.
Co-ordinating the maintenance strategy of the business, the MRP co-ordinator will have a close working relationship with Engineering Ops managers as well as the MRP teams at all sites
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The MRP Co-ordinator will lead the roll-out of the MRP process across the business.
They will act as a mentor to the factory MRP managers and their performance will reflect on that of the MRP co-ordinator.
The MRP co-ordinator will own the ‘vision’ of the MRP roll-out. They will be the central point of contact for factory maintenance strategy.
Custodian of the Engineering Maintenance key performance indicators for us
Develop and conduct engineering maintenance audits, across the business.

Knowledge and Experience
The MRP co-ordinator should have extensive experience in the management and development of Maintenance reliability programmes
They should have knowledge and experience of using maintenance improvement tools including RCM, RBI and risk analysis techniques.
Ideally the MRP co-ordinator should have experience of implementing a change management programme over multiple sites.
Skills and Abilities
(e.g. Teamwork, IT, Communication, Relationships)
The MRP co-ordinator should be enthusiastic about MRP programmes and be willing to act as a ‘champion’ for the company. They must be comfortable with challenging established practices and will have to be able to communicate at all levels.
The MRP co-ordinator should be an effective ‘change manager’, with the drive and tenacity to follow through on a radical change programme.
They must have the presence and drive to focus maintenance teams on long-term maintenance issues and move away from the fire fighting cycle.
They should preferably have a deep understanding of maintenance management techniques and appreciate the benefits of advanced methods.
Qualifications
(e.g. Technical)
The MRP co-ordinator should hold a professional qualification, preferably a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
A professional maintenance management qualification would be ideal in the role, but it should be backed up with a technical background that enables the role holder to understand and contribute to technical maintenance issues.
Personal Qualities/
Aptitudes
The MRP Co-ordinator should have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, using a variety of techniques and media. They will be routinely communicating with technicians on the factory floor as well as presenting strategy at Factory manager / Head of department level.
