Job Description
Stores Supervisor
£30,000 to £35,000
The stores supervisor role is required to develop and maintain a stores management system within a heavy manufacturing environment, supervising and supporting the stores personnel. You will receive, store, issue and record all raw materials, hardware, equipment etc and ensure it is stored and handled in keeping with health and safety procedures.
You will be responsible for the overall management of goods inward, stock control and materials issued. You will also have responsibilities for personnel issues within the stores team to ensure the quality and business objectives are met. Health and safety will also be a prime focus, as well as quality systems and continuous improvement within the team.
Candidates must have significant supervisory experience within a stores environment, preferably HNC or HND qualified within materials control or stores management. Experience of using an ERP system is essential. The ideal candidate will have supervised or managed the stores function within a large manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
