Secondary School in Leeds looking for a Science Technician
An excellent school based in Leeds are currently looking to recruit a Science Technician to start as soon as possible but ideally before the 24th February. This is a 6 month contract with the potential for a permanent job. This is an Academy who strive towards developing dynamic teaching and exciting interactive learning across all subjects, this is an exciting opportunity to join a school who strive for continuous improvement and development.
The school is looking for an experienced Lab Technician who can cover all Science Fields up to A-Level. You will be working as part of a team and reporting to the Senior Science Technician
Your duties will include the following:
· Preparation of stock solutions.
· Maintaining glassware in classrooms.
· Preparing practical prior to lessons and delivering to the classrooms.
· Setting up practical where necessary.
· General up keep of Science Technician laboratory.
· Willing to help pupils during lessons if required.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working as a lab technician within a School is desirable but not essential
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or relevant work experience
- Methodical and organised nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Approachable demeanor
All candidates will be subject to a Police and Criminal Records Check
