Job Description

The position is a multi-skilled role which involves the management of a team of 20 staff members who take responsibility for our current active Debt Management customer base. Ultimately responsible to the Department Manager and Company Director, this is a key role within our organisation ensuring customers are offered a first class Debt Management Service.

Responsible for the customer debt management plans being administered in a timely and effective manner, incorporating creditor negotiations being completed in the best interests of our clients. Client retention and to facilitate monthly payments are being maintained is paramount which will be a key measure included within all performance targets. In addition focus, where required, creating and maintaining long term relationships with our customers. Compliance and regulation are key elements within our company culture. Experience in Debt Management and the related regulatory requirements will be essential to the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Team and Staff targets are driven and achieved through performance management.

· Excellent level of Service is maintained with both clients and creditors, manage customer complaints in accordance with the company complaints procedure.

· All areas to be fully compliant in line with the relevant debt management regulations, including OFT incorporating current company procedures.

· Adhere to strict deadlines having the ability to prioritise workload in line with department and company expectations.

· Ability to identify areas of underachievement and assist in both the development and delivery of Training modules to address any issues identified.

· Manage, monitor and observe team members at all levels to ensure all staff are competent and following correct procedures.

· Conduct one to one meetings and appraisals with team leaders and co-ordinate any training plans for each staff member.

· Maximise client retention through regular analysis of all cancelled and rejected cases.

· Develop external relationships with all key stakeholders including Creditors.

· Perform regular reviews of all critical processes and identify areas for improvement.

· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal departments and management.

· Maintain full awareness of trends and market conditions incorporating competitor activity within the Debt Solutions industry and ensure our products / services remain competitive.

· Promote awareness and maximise sales on all ancillary products

This role will involve occasional shift work 10 – 2pm on a Saturday once every month or so, and occasional evening work to 8pm on the same kind of frequency.
