Job Description
Director of Marine Ecology – Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Southampton, Newcastle, Scotland
A global multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in marine ecology projects in sectors including renewable energy, oil and gas and power generation is looking for a director to manage their marine ecology services throughout the UK. As the marine ecology team expands, this position is an opportunity to display your skills and ambition, and assist with the growth and progress of this already very successful consultancy.
The ideal Director of Marine Ecology will be educated to degree level with at least 10 years experience within a consultancy where they will have specialised in marine projects in a variety of sectors, including renewable energy developments, EIA and coastal zone management/marine spatial planning. You will have extensive experience of leading teams on projects, with good people management skills and a broad range of client contacts.
In this role, you will be leading and helping to expand the marine ecology team on projects in the UK and overseas. You will be expected to provide technical expertise and contribute heavily to the business development and marketing within the company. Duties will involve training and mentoring staff, along with frequent liaison with clients.
