Magento Senior Developer - Fast Growing Global Internet Retailer
Bermondsey, South East London (SE16)
Attractive Salary Package + MacBook Pro Laptop
BACKGROUND
We are an established and fast-growing global Internet retailer of prestigious luxury childrenswear and toys, with an expanding domestic and international market.
Launched in 2007, the company has an increasing strong presence in the online retail arena, and following investor funding, is expanding its product range and team to build on this success.
The company is currently 50 people strong, working from our Bermondsey office in London, with plans to grow to 60 by Q1 2012.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
> Implement the Technical Roadmap in collaboration with the CTO and Business Stakeholders
> Help defining Agile / Lean processes and methodologies to ensure stability, performance and continuous improvement
> Define coding and architectural guidelines
> Frequently deliver new features, upgrades and fixes
> Coach and support other members of the team and external agencies
> Develop to an Architect / Head of Development role
> Provide out of hour emergency support (On a rota basis and compensated)
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:
> Significant industry experience
> Solid experience in developing e-commerce solutions on Magento
> Develop Magento extensions
> Web Open technologies such as PHP, CSS/HTML, XML, Apache, MySQL, Linux
> Strong Object Oriented Programming
> Source code management (e.g. Git)
> Agile software development with remote team members
> Excellent problem solving
