Job Description

Land Management Consultant

HA 2426

Our client, a UK leading environmental consultancy has an urgent requirement for a Land Management Consultant to join their growing Cambridge based team. Reporting to the Land Team Manager the successful Land Management Consultant will assist in the preparation and implementation of land management plans and work programmes for large scale projects.

Ideally candidates will have a BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline such as Forestry, Land / Estate Management, Conservation Management or similar, a second qualification in an appropriate discipline is advantageous. Due to the travel commitments involved with the role a full UK drivers licence is essential.

Location: Cambridge commutable from Bedford, Peterborough, North London, Stevenage

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 depending on skills and experience

It is anticipated that the successful Land Management Consultant will have previous experience of the implementation of practical land management works, such as habitat creation, wood management and ecological mitigation, preferably within a consultancy environment.

Duties:

  • Implementing work programmes for individual sites

  • Assisting senior staff in the development of management plans

  • Preparing project method statements, environmental risk assessments, site waste management plans and project quality plans

  • Liaising with clients

  • Supervising contracts for works on clients land

  • Delivering desk studies and field surveys

  • Preparing high quality written reports
